Mens Fitness

Competitors should look fit and athletic but should not be at the level of a Physique.

Judging Criteria

Judged on, muscularity, symmetry, condition, presentation and muscularity. Competitors should look fit and athletic, be lean enough to show a full six pack. There should be separation in shoulders, arms and legs, the beginnings of striations are acceptable but should not be at the level of a Bodybuilder. Competitors should have wide shoulders and back, developed arms, a narrow waist with slightly less leg development than you would expect of Physique. Competitors in Open may be split into classes based on weight to allow for competitors to compete against other competitors of similar muscularity.

  • Rules Of Category

    • One round only,
    • Competitors will do an individual stage walk then be compared via 4x quarter turns.
    • Judged in shorts to just above the knee (purchased during registration).
    • Height and weight limits apply (see attached pdf).

Classic Physique

Similar muscularity and conditioning as a Bodybuilding competitor but slightly less extreme, symmetry and posing are highly weighted.

Judged on symmetry, shape, presentation, muscularity and condition. Competitors should have the similar muscularity and conditioning as a Bodybuilding competitor but slightly less extreme. Condition should show a full six pack, separation in shoulders, arms quads, hamstrings. Physique should be balanced overall with chest, shoulder, arm and back (upper body) development should match and be balanced with glute quad, hamstring & calf development (lower body). Symmetry of the left side matching right side, and front development matching back development.

      • Round 2 – Compulsory Poses (Front Double Biceps, Side Chest, Side Tricep, Rear Double Biceps, Abs & Thighs, Classic pose of your choice).
    • Judged in classic trunks (purchased during registration).
    • Can choose to enter Men’s Posing Routine as an optional division judged separately.

Bodybuilding

Should have the most muscularity of all divisions while still maintaining a natural look.

Judging Criteria

  • Judged on muscularity, condition, symmetry, shape and presentation. Competitors should have the most muscularity of all divisions while still maintaining a natural look. Condition should show a full six pack, separation in shoulders, arms quads, hamstrings, glutes, with cross striations where achievable. Physique should be balanced overall with chest, shoulder, arm and back (upper body) development should match and be balanced with glute quad, hamstring & calf development (lower body). Symmetry of the left side matching right side, and front development matching back development.
